This unit of competency is intended to provide the learners with the practical knowledge and necessary skills to identify asbestos material(s) and the appropriate reporting procedures when asbestos is identified. Participants are shown how to identify different types of asbestos, the likely locations for asbestos, while also being able to spot asbestos related hazards.
Pre-requisites: CPCCOHS1001A- Work Safely in the Construction Industry (White Card)
This training course is a simple and effective method of training all staff required to use a stop/slow bat. The course meets the work activity requirements of the NSW OH&S legislation and the RTA obligations. Successful participants will receive a photo ID card “Traffic Controller”.
The pre-requisites for this course are:
NSW WorkCover Construction Induction Certificate or equivalent
National Construction Induction Card (CPCCOHS1001A)
This training course provides participants with relevant, up-to-date information about safety, the new A.C.T Work Safety Act and safety legislation and the rights and responsibilities of both employers and employees. Once the participants are deemed competent they will receive on the day a statement of Attainment in the unit of competency CPCCOHS1001A.
The CSI National OHS Induction for construction is a requirement for working on any site in the ACT.
