This unit of competency specifies the outcomes required to undertake Work Health and Safety (WHS) induction training within the construction industry.
This enables participants to correctly demonstrate personal awareness of WHS legislative requirements, and the basic principles of risk management and prevention of injury and illness in the construction industry.
Once the participants are deemed competent they will receive on the day a Statement of Attainment in the unit of competency CPCCOHS1001A.
This nationally accredited course is intended to provide the learners with the knowledge and necessary skills to identify asbestos material(s) and the appropriate reporting procedures when asbestos is identified. Participants are shown how to identify different types of asbestos, the likely locations for asbestos, while also being able to spot asbestos related hazards.
Health and Safety Representative Training (Five Day Course)

This five day training course provides the participants with the skills and knowledge to grasp the concept of Work Health and Safety and the broader legislative environment requirements enabling them to successfully fulfil the WSR role within their workplace. Participants are shown how to use work health and safety management systems while continuously improving WH&S in the workplace.
