Ritchie Allen is now conducting the Blue Card training.

Any students who are going into the ACT building and construction industry must complete a Blue Card (OHS Induction) before starting work. If the student will be working in NSW they must complete a NSW WorkCover OHS Induction (Green Card). CSI will be offering these courses at no cost to students and teachers in 2008. The funding for these courses has been generously donated by the Tradies Group of Clubs and the ACT Building and Construction Industry Training Fund Authority. The Blue Card course takes 2 hours, and the NSW WorkCover OHS Induction (Green Card) course takes approximately 6.5 hours to complete.

CSI can tailor the Blue Card course to suit students who will be placed in industries other than the construction industry, and this course will be offered to these students at no cost in 2008. The funding for these courses has been generously donated by the Tradies Group of Clubs and the CFMEU. This would suit students who are still conducting Work Experience and who should have a clear idea of their responsibilities, and those of their employer.

Due to the extended nature of the NSW OHS WorkCover OHS Induction (Green Card) training course it isn't possible to run these onsite. CSI has regularly scheduled Green Card training courses throughout the year and can book additional ones for schools with more that 10 students interested in attending.
